The most popular social networking website, Facebook, has unveiled its new feature of shared photo album. Reading this you might think the feature already exists but Facebook has added some extra edge to it.
Yes, now the users will be able to access an album maximum up to 50 presenters who can enhance up to 200 photos. Thus in total now a user can share access to an album with about 10,000 photos. Earlier it was bounded up to 1000 total images only. The users were only allowed to add images to their own personal albums only.
But with this announcement by Facebook, user can make a group engagement activity and permit connections to add images to the album. This will in turn create larger albums with huge user’s access. With this aspect Facebook can lead in the race with Instagram (social site where users can instantly share their photos with friends and family anytime). With this attribute Facebook offers users to share larger life events such as wedding, vacations, party, festivals etc. it will give liberty to users to create big albums and allow other to share, access and add photos to the album.
However the feature is quite similar to it’s another strong competitor Goggle+ “party mode”. In this mode also users can share all their videos and photos with the guest of the associated event. Keeping the privacy point of view in mind Facebook has given users option to share these new group photo albums with public, friends of presenters or simply presenters of the album.
Facebook has taken this feature to the floors of small group of users. Eventually this will be open to all its users. Initially it will be available at only desktop and gradually the aspect will be extended to all users around the globe.
