Brands using your name for promotion
You might have observed big brands using your pal’s or connected person’s name attached to their own page. Every day your facebook account newsfeed is flooded with promotional advertisements. They are nothing but sponsored Ads put by the famous, popular, branded company to aim at striving large number of audience by utilizing your ally’s name to endorse their product by adding facebook likes on the page.

Step 1:-Login to your facebook account. Go to your profile page. Here choose “About” just after “Timeline”
Step 2:- Under this section go to “Likes” division on the page. Here all the pages are shown which you have liked. Now move to setting button of the division. A drop down list will appear. Choose “edit privacy”
Step3 :- Now a screen will appear in which you change the privacy settings of first option (other) and last option (interest) to “Only Me” from “public” as shown in screen
With these 3 easy steps you can stop the brands using your name for their own promotional activity.
