The disclaimer is to be placed on the homepage of the website stating that children below 13 years of age cannot open any account of facebook, the social networking site. The court also raised question to the Government for not having appropriate laws to prevent children from being abused on social network. They have to put the disclaimer in bold. The court has also told that the centre has to provide detailed information about the laws that need to be placed to protect children from online abusing activity.
Whereas in US there is permission for 13 year child to have a social network account but the Indian judicial system is firm on its decision and asked facebook to put the disclaimer soon on the home page.
